Kevin Cheng as Yau Chi-Wing 游志穎

Personality:
Independent, carefree, doesn’t care about how other people see him. Serious about love. Not afraid to love or hate.

Background:
His mother died whe he was young. His father Yau Sai Guen had a large debt and thus left without saying a word. As a child, Chi-Wing was under the care of his grandmother, Gam Mui (Ha Ping). Due to financial reasons, Chi Wing gave up his education. He doesn’t have any goals or plans and does not have a steady job. He ends up befriending many people and mob members. As a lifeguard, he ends up meeting Ling Ka-Yan.In his eyes, Ka-Yan is an overprotected girl, but slowly he gets to know her better. He is soon attracted by her optimistic personality. Two people with such different personalities end up starting a romantic love story on the island.

Niki Chow as Ling Ka-Yan 凌加恩 

Personality:
Optimistic. Kind. Is serious about love. Dreams of having a deep and memorable love.

Background:
Before meeting Yau Chi-Wing, Ka-Yan was under the strict control of her father Ling Siu-Gai (Lau Dan). She has never experienced the taste of love before causing her to have high hopes in meeting that special someone. Initially, Ka Yan believed that Chi Wing was a bad guy. But after meeting again and again, she was unknowingly captivated by the gray area in his personality. The two of them begin to date.However, because there’s a stark contrast to their backgrounds, Siu Gai is against the two dating. Chi Wing tried to change himself and found a real job. When Ka-Yan has confidence that her father would change his mind about Chi-Wing, Siu Gai’s good friend appeared. He said that he’s own daugther Yuen Jing (Selena Li), dated him before, but the relationship failed. Ka-Yan tried to find the truth of the matter, but Chi Wing does not want to talk about it. He suddenly went to Japan.

Bosco Wong as Hui Wai-Yan (Don) 許懷仁

Personality:
Smart, Calculative. Head filled with thoughts of how to make more money and become rich  

Background:
Don believes that being a employee is not a good idea. He wants to be his own boss. After graduating, he and his classmates got together to start a business. As fate would have it, he meets a manga artist at the nearby magazine company Wong Chi-Kwan Sasa (Natalie Tong). Don misunderstood and thought she was a rich girl. He started to pursue her. He treated this relationship as a another means of business. Sasa treats Don as “love insurance.” Their relationship started with ulterior motives.  

Natalie Tong as Wong Chi Kwan (Sa Sa) 王芷君 Personality:
Smart, but a bit conniving. Kind and has imaginations about love

Background:
Sasa and Don date each other for other reasons, but real feelings actually come out of it. When their love becomes real, the secret that they are using each other comes out. Both of them are hurt. Don didn’t make an effort to understand the situation He calls for a breakup. After the breakup the both of them are in low moods. But Don quickly moves on to earn more money.Later, Don and Sasa meet again. The two of them refuse to acknowledge the reality that they had once loved each other. Sasa even introduced Don to her rich good friend, Jessie (Charmaine Li). Even though Don dates Jessie, he can’t forget Sasa. Don then receives news that Sasa has left for Japan to start a life there.

Elaine Yiu as Yeung Hau Yee 楊巧兒 (Jade) – Niki’s younger cousin. Daughter of Ling Bo Zhi.
